- This exploratory course allows students to experience fundamental computer concepts in: computer hardware, software setup, networking, electronics, robotics, programming and emerging technologies.
Grade 10 Introduction to Computer Studies explores the world of information technology. Students will learn about computer concepts including: hardware requirements, operating systems, software use, networking, good computer use practices, societal and environmental issues, and careers in information technology. Students will be introduced to programming in Turing and Scratch to create games and interactive stories.
- Grade 11 Introduction to Computer Programming prepares students for Grade 12 Computer Programming. Grade 12 Computer Programming focuses on student driven learning. Using the indroductory Turing programming language, students program applications they are interested in programming. Examples of projects include, but are not limited to: 2D Games, Interactive Stories, Simulations, Multiplayer Games and more.
